Summary/Abstract: Based upon rich folklore material of the Bulgarian Sunni Turks that live in the North-west regions of Bulgaria and the mountains Rodopi, the author makes an analysis of the ways, forms and mechanisms of transformation of certain holly texts of the Koran that in due time become folk texts. In that sense, the specific socio-cultural character of the environment is the decisive factor of these processes. Another important factor is the specific interpretation of the Arab text of the Koran which is not available, made by the local Imam (Hodza) who is the spiritual leader. The third factor is the interpretation of the adapted explanations of religious principles that could be found in the text books on Islamic fate, as well as the change of those explanation in the original sources of folk story telling. The fourth factor, among others, is the life experience of a certain person and the signs of Gods presence in human lives, that this person can accept or can refuse.
