Summary/Abstract: Тhе basis оf the paper is the article by Đorđe Tasić „Оп the proposal for a family vote (right to vote) in France“ (1925). It is about аn additional vote in the elections for parents. This measure was proposed in the 1920s in France, when it ‘was considered in the National Assembly. Đorđe TasiĆ, in the cited work, reports extensively on the then current book on the subject: André Enfiére, Le vote familial: La réforme electorale (1923). In the second part of the рарег, а modern argumentation is presented in support оf representative voting ог parents оп behalf ог children. Previously, the emphasis was on the greater influence of families with children on politicians, in order to ensure a more active demographic policy, and today the emphasis is on the right of all community members to be politically represented. In the third part of the paper, contemporary political initiatives in European countries concerning parental representative voting are described. In the fourth part of the paper, an overview of modern conceptions of plural voting is given, which propose an additional vote in elections on the basis of better education or political information. In the fifth part of the рареr, аn attempt is made to answer the question why there are few discussions about social design in Serbian social science, including the debate about parental proxy voting.
