Summary/Abstract: Cancer changes the life and world of the family by breaking the chain of biographical continuity. This article indicates areas of therapeutic support that enables the sick child and their parents to undertake biographical work in order to restore the lost “normality”. The place where biographical work is undertaken are therapeutic workshops called “Zabawolandia”, which use creativity. Creativity is the area of freedom, which disease, if only sick children and their caregivers receive psycho-pedagogical support, does not have to be taken away. The ability to create gives the opportunity to get used to a new situation. It determines the return of control over one’s life and helps to create a new, strong identity. It also releases the strenght to take up the daily fight against the disease.
