Summary/Abstract: In the present study, we investigated digital inequalities at the second level among Hungarian students in Romania. We used a self-administered online questionnaire among students at the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania. The data were analysed using regression analysis. The results show that university students have the most operational and communicative digital skills, but lag behind in information seeking and content production skills. In terms of daily online activities, communication and interaction activities are also in the lead, followed by information seeking and entertainment activities. In the sample, the second level digital inequalities are mainly determined by frequency of internet use, self-confidence in internet skills, level of digital skills, and maternal educational attainment. Limitations of the sample include the sampling procedure and the self-completion nature of the data collection.
