Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a positive understanding of the fluidity of identity in the field of popular culture and electronic media, which strongly corresponds to the cynical concept of worldliness, ie cosmopolitanism of Peter Sloterdijk. An analysis of the episode “Striking Vipers” (The Black Mirror series; 2019) is given as a case study. We shall see how the fluidity of identity is initiated by using a fictional VR (virtual reality) game of identical name. Outside of this case study, the paper also refers to the canonical works of ludology and gaming studies (Heuzinga, Caillois) and argues with the views of Professor Ratko Božovic.
