Summary/Abstract: The article theoretically justifies the importance of the vocation of the teacher in the search for a response to the contemporary cultural challenges of globalization, presents the demands of society on the modern teacher, and reveals the vocation of the teacher through the synthesis of the theological and the secular vocation. This article stresses the importance of strengthening teachers' sense of personal vocation, because teachers are not only responsible for the transmission of knowledge from one generation to another, but also for the development of the conscious, compassionate, competent and cooperative citizens that today's alienated world needs. It is imperative to strengthen the link between vocation and the work of teachers because vocation humanizes the current debate on how to improve the quality of teaching.
