Summary/Abstract: The object of this article is the compilation of phraseological units including the word Cristo (or cristo) in Spanish and Italian dictionaries from the XX and XXI centuries. After the thematic organization, typological classification and lexicographical presentation of these units, and the consultation of diachronic and synchronic corpora in both languages, there can be seen differences and similarities in relation to the form/content and presence/absence of these multiverbal units. In this sense, this work aims to continue the work of other researchers who have wanted to delve into the influence of the Bible and Christianity in languages such as Italian and Spanish. The experiences of faith, questions of doctrine, passages from the Sacred Scriptures, the habits of religious practice, etc., are integrational elements of the Christian religion that are expressed in an idiomatic way in the languages of those speakers who share this important cultural component.
