Summary/Abstract: The article reports the results of a project that was conducted in VÚKOZ in Průhonice during 2005–2007. The combination of historical sources and landscape architects’ methods yielded a large amount of interesting information that expanded the current knowledge about the landscape that Count F.A. Sporck modified at his Hradiště domain. In the spirit of the time, the count built several hermitages in the artistically shaped landscape. Written and graphic records about some have survived and their fragments can still be found in the landscape. Only written information, free of depictions has survived about some more, including the hermitage of St Bruno, the subject of the article. With the help of archaeology and the above-mentioned methods, the site was identified and fragments of the structure were discovered. Contemporary landscape modifications in the area can be reminiscent of this landscape architecture in the 18th century.
