Summary/Abstract: The aim of this research is to describe and analyze those aspects of a child’s development that allow her/him – between the ages of 6 and 7 and a half – to create (oral and written) texts of a literary nature. The stories that are the subject of analysis were written by the child personally – initially in handwriting and then on the computer keyboard. Especially interesting are the stories, united in a cycle of 21 chapters with common characters. In the first part of the study, the child’s texts are discussed from the point of view of their genre specificity, their topic, the characters and the plot moves. The second part examines elements of literary style in the stories told and written by the child.
