Published in two volumes by Humanitas Publishing House in 2021 (Volume I: 1869 - 1888 and Volume II: 1889 - 1913), this book offers a new perspective on the individual and couple's lives. I think this is to be cherished because we manage to find out how easy and at the same time, difficult their life as a couple was, especially considering their public position. After a few pages of reading, you will realize how important but also difficult was the work of the two authors to translate and then gather the royal correspondence in these two volumes. I also believe that writing succeeds in capturing the personality of a human being, his way of thinking and behaving, and this is the case even for the Queen and the King. You will notice that their writing expresses nobility, refinement, and a fine education.
