Summary/Abstract: The subject of the article was to discuss the preparatory period for the 1968 Synod of Poznan (Poznań). All the committees were discussed and the most important members were listed. In addition, the author attempted to answer the question: what impact did the appointments of priests to the various commissions have on the synod as a whole, and how did the ministries performed by these clergymen affect the shape of the assembly. The way in which the committees worked was also outlined. Synodal proposals sent by various circles of the Poznan (Poznań) Archdiocese were also discussed. Interesting suggestions sent by the lay faithful were also presented.
