Language Policy in Belarus and the Impact on the Situation of Polish Philology at the Belarusian State University in Minsk

Summary/Abstract: Teaching Polish as a foreign language has a long tradition both at home and abroad. At present in Belarus, one can talk of a longer crisis in Polonistic studies due to the strong political context. The main topic of this article is a review of Polish language policy and an overview of the current socio-demographic situation of the Polish minority living in Belarus based on the census data conducted in 2019.
