Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, treatments carried out in beauty salons are becoming increasingly popular. However, the operation of such surgeries and the definition of the catalogue of treatments that can be performed in these surgeries is still not legally regulated. If a treatment fails or is carried out by an unauthorised person or with the use of a product that can only be used by a doctor, there is criminal liability for these acts. The article aims to indicate the legal basis for the cosmetologist’s profession, including the definition of the cosmetologist’s qualifications. Furthermore, an attempt is made to define the principles of cosmetic surgeries, as well as the basis of the criminal liability of cosmetologists for fraud in the performance of procedures.
