Summary/Abstract: Public participation is usually considered a key component of process of planning. In this connection, such process might be understood like a part of policy-making process. A problem of public participation or more precisely, the problems that are associated somehow with this phenomenon are considered “the hot topics” in the recent times which could be proven by increasing interest in them from the side of various experts or researchers. A main goal of this article is to introduce the tools of public participation in terms of their possible utilization within a frame of policy-making process (with special regard for local and regional level).
