Summary/Abstract: The rediscovery of the patristic treasure is one of the essential conditions in the study of theology and church life. The Church Fathers left their writings as precious ornaments to the Church of Christ. And the Church of Christ has done nothing but shine light on their priceless pearls. In the commemorative year of hymnographers and church singers (psalts), the Romanian Patriarchate wanted to present not only the hymnographic work of some saints, but also their representative writings for the Orthodox faith. The present book is constituted as a patristic anthology of the work of Saint John of Damascus.
