Summary/Abstract: This article re-examines the work of Moroccan author Abdelkébir Khatibi in terms of disenchantment and identity blurring. The aim is to examine the manifestations and variations of this issue in Un été à Stockholm and Triptyque de Rabat, through the case of the characters Idris and Namir. While this question has been addressed in a number of earlier studies, our analysis departs from it for two reasons. Firstly, Triptyque de Rabat, a novel little known by its author, has not, to our knowledge, been the subject of in-depth reflection, with the exception of a few comments by Rachida Saigh-Bousta. Secondly, our reading focuses more on the novels independently of the major concepts by which we often read his work.
