Summary/Abstract: From the very beginning, in this essay I will try to address some of the themes and their specific derivations that frame the act of translation, from an artistic and theoretical point of view, referring, essentially, to the historical-aesthetic manifestation of this literary species over 100 years. It will therefore be an attempt to work beyond the simple biobibliographical statistics on authors, translators, original and translated books.
