Summary/Abstract: In the paper „Characteristics of Muradbegović’s director’s poetics (On the example of the director’s settings in the National Theater Tuzla)“, an analysis of the poetics of the dramatic templates that were staged at the National Theater Tuzla under the direction of Ahmed Muradbegović presents an account of the director’s poetics of Ahmed Muradbegović, who as a writer was one from the most signifi cant representatives of the avant-garde of the interwar period. The research includes dramas staged in the period from 1949 to 1954, during Muradbegović’s involvement in the National Theater Tuzla, and in the period from 1954 to 1965, when Muradbegović was engaged as a guest director in this theater. Based on the analysis of dramatic templates, we will see that Ahmed Muradbegović did not exclusively follow one poetics in his directorial settings, and that it ranged from realistic and neo-romantic to avant-garde to existentialist and modern.
