Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the research of traditional folk culture. The topic of traditional folk culture from the point of view of art education can be grasped in different ways, combined and linked with different areas of issues from the field of contemporary artistic understanding and contemporary visual understanding of the world. In the text, we approach the possibilities of how to work with the topic of traditional folk culture/folk embroidery, how to grasp it and how to work with it nontraditionally in art education classes in the context of a new look at old techniques through textile material and natural materials in connection with environmental approaches, recycling of folk patterns and creation new products.
