Summary/Abstract: The article presents the work of representatives of the so-called migration literature, writers of Polish origin (Dariusz Muszer, Radek Knapp, Artur Becker, Adam Soboczynski, Matthias Nawrat, Aleksandra Tobor, Sabrina Janesch and Emilia Smechowski). They belong the middle and young generation, and their texts, implicitly or explicitly, reflect on their own identity, experience of migration, influence of the “old” and “new” culture in the process of shaping the “transcultural” identity of protagonists. Both writers and characters in these literary texts create hybrid, multifaceted identities. They are anchored in the two cultures in which they participate. Thus, Polish-German migration literature ac- quires a special status: it is embedded both “between” and “in” two literatures and cultures simultaneously. The literary texts become trans- national narratives and deal with themes of border crossing, migration, identity, history and cultural diversity.
