Summary/Abstract: In 1962, the Bulgarian Church canonized Paisij Hilendarski. “Church Newspaper” devotes its entire issue from December of the same year to the event. It contains the lyrical poem “Paisij Hilendarski” by Mihail Kovachev, a researcher of Mount Athos and the Zograf Monastery. The report dwells on the question of what she managed to “say” in the difficult time of socialism.
