Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to supplement the argumentation presented by Kamil Pawlicki in his Niejednoznaczność terminów tematyczny i atematyczny w językoznawstwie indoeuropejskim [The ambiguity of the terms thematic and athematic in Indo-European linguistics] (Pawlicki 2020, BPTJ LXXVI), with further possible reasons for the twofold interpretation of the terms athematic and thematic in Indo-European linguistics, especially in Polish linguistic terminology.
