Summary/Abstract: The article characterizes seniors as a social group and age group. It points to organizations that defend the interests of seniors and their families in the Slovak Republic. It pays more attention to military seniors (military retirees) in slovakia and especially to the activities of the Liptov Military Pensioniers´Club, which operates in LiptovskýMikuláš – also in the direction of active activity of seniors and their family members.
