Vlachová‘s research Senior in the Czech Family focused on the position of grandparents in the family, their influence and the essential elements of the transgenerational transmission. The aim of this article is to clarify and present the essence of intergenerational learning and its importance in the family environment, and consequently to highlight the importance of developing intergenerational activities in the contemporary family between grandparents and grandchildren as an important means and tool for their social learning.
