Summary/Abstract: A review of Jakub Orzeszek’s Ph.D. dissertation titled Differentiating Schulz. The First and Second Body of the Writer, focused on its content and method. The first part includes a brief overview of particular chapters, as well as a praise of the author’s erudition, knowledge of literary history, archivist’s passion, and impressive style. In the second part, the reviewer summed up a high academic value of Orzeszek’s work, anticipating a prominent role that he may play in the field of Schulz Studies and, more generally, the studies on corporeality in literature.
