Summary/Abstract: This article is empirical and addresses an important issue concerning ethical dilemmas in the context of professional work of a doctor in various hospital departments. The aim of the implemented diagnostic project was to find out the opinions of medical students in Poland on the above subject. The presented article is a report on the results of research in a group of 85 female students and 58 male students. The conducted empirical analysis made it possible to diagnose issues related to the ethical dilemmas of a physician, namely: abortion, euthanasia, the presence of doctors in drug advertisements, invasive tests, persistent therapy towards patients in a morally difficult situation, treatment in prisons, receiving gifts from patients and the frequency of the occurrence of unethical situations from the patient’s point of view. Relevant conclusions were formulated and explained in the discussion, based on the provisions of the Code of Medical Ethics.
