Summary/Abstract: The paper is based on the application of a semi-structured interview conducted with a group of doctoral students from the State University of Moldova. The pursued issues concern ethical aspects of scientific research. In the first part of the paper, we present some considerations about the legal framework of doctoral research in the Republic of Moldova, about the difficulties and challenges of the educational system at the beginning of the third millennium, as well as about the important relationship between legality and morality.
