Summary/Abstract: During the Revolutions of 1848, in Bosnia, one of the important provinces of the Ottoman Balkans, uneasiness began with the influence of revolutionary societies and people with separatist ideas; public order was broken in centers such as Sarajevo and Travnik, riots broke out and financial difficulties were experienced. Both Croats, Serbs and Muslim subjects supported the initiatives of the pro-revolutionists behind those events in Bosnia. Even though the aforementioned elements did not have a common goal, they cooperated in line with their interests and provoked the Bosnian people against the Ottoman rule. Although the separatist activities of the revolutionary societies and the Slavs caused troubles in the region, more like concessionaire Müslim caused a problem for the Sublime Porte, which was mostly Muslim. However, for the local government under the administration of Tahir Pasha, the Governor of Bosnia, the issue of what kind of policy to follow against this group during the revolution caused problems. In this context, while giving weight to military measures to prevent revolutions, secret investigations were made to try to control the events through the region.
