Summary/Abstract: Despite the passage of many years, the issue of the "Lubbon crime" committed against Fr. Stanisław Streich, February 27, 1938 still intrigues, primarily because of its multi-faceted nature. It is expressed in the specificity of this fact occurring in the political, ideological and social context. All three levels originate from the motives of the crime and are closely related to each otherand may contribute to many comments and observations made in retrospect. It is certain that in the face of the tragedy of the murder of Fr. Stanisław Streich by the communist Wawrzyniec Nowak, the influence of leftist organizations on the inhabitants of Luboń and the surrounding area decreased significantly. Many Lubonians, participating in the funeral of their pastor and in demonstrations condemning the crime, clearly decided and defined the side they were on. In the parish of St. Saint John Bosko in Luboń, over the years, numerous initiatives have been developed aimed at the beatification process of the Servant of God, which began on October 28, 2017. Currently, the martyr is remembered and promoted in various ways. His memory still lives in the hearts of many, making him a unique Witness of Faith for the entire Archdiocese of Poznań.
