Summary/Abstract: the cult books printed starting from the last part of the 17th century in important printing centers such as Bălgrad, Buzău, Râmnic, Sibiu, Buda or Blaj were used. It is further proof that these books represented the national and confessional unity of the Romanians on both sides of the Carpathians. Some of the Orthodox books were also used by the local Greek Catholic church. On their pages, various notes are kept by church servants (priests or church singers, or other lay people not identified by profession) that help us understand certain aspects of church life in this parish. Holograph notes written over time help us identify names of clerical and non-clerical personnel that supplement the summary data of the old censuses by personalizing them. It is another reason why they are part of the ecclesiastical heritage, but also of the national one.
