Summary/Abstract: This review paper is the final one in a series of three which critically reflect upon the role of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) in English primary school settings. Its focus is on the SENCO’s ‘place’ in the school in the context of their professional identity and multiple-role as a teacher, administrator, manager and transformative leader.
