Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to analyze the quality of life of seniors as well as the factors influencing the sense of its shape. The authors defined the notion of old age, pointed to the concepts of old age, as well as selected approaches to the quality of their lives. The issue of the inclusive and exclusive thread relating to the place of seniors in contemporary society was also taken up. The study indicates, on the one hand, the possibilities of taking action in the context of perceiving the potential of seniors in the rehabilitation process of prisoners, but also - on the other - the specificity of old age and aging in conditions of penitentiary isolation.
