Social assistance, the Cinderella of public administration

Summary/Abstract: This material aims to discuss some difficulties faced by the social assistance activity in Romania. The study brings to fruition the experience I have acquired in the field, both as the head of a center that deals with the care of elderly people, and by virtue of the activity I carry out within the professional association that brings together people who work in this field field. The problems we faced during the pandemic are also taken into account. We are trying, through what is contained in the material, to raise an alarm signal about the serious problems that continue to manifest themselves in this difficult and sensitive field.
