Summary/Abstract: The crisis on the labor market in Poland is an important topic, which is still relevant since 2020 because the havoc caused by Covid-19 on the labor market is enormous. Many enterprises have collapsed or were forced to suspend their activities, and in some cases changes cannot be undone enough for the enterprise to function properly. The beginning of 2022 came as a surprise to everyone when war broke out in Ukraine on February 24, caused by the still unidentified targets by the Russian dictator. This resulted not only in enormous restrictions in the economic sphere, but also in the labor market. Unfortunately, the enormous influx of refugees from Ukraine meant that the labor market of the Republic of Poland was not prepared for such a random event. The special act approved by the Polish government to help refugees also introduced access to the labor market for people from Ukraine. These activities cannot be judged in the negative context, which nevertheless must be remembered. The constantly galloping inflation does not improve the situation on the labor market, and the very fact that the minimum wage in 2023 will be PLN 3600 gross does not, in a sense, fill us with optimism in terms of keeping employees so that they can have adequate working as well as living conditions. From 2023, an amendment to the labor market law is to be introduced, which is to improve both the unemployment level and enable better access to the market. I will try to bring you closer to the problem of the unemployment crisis on the labor market in Cracow in 2020–2022.
