Summary/Abstract: Crowd logistics is a business model that provides services by utilizing inactive crowd resources rather than investing in logistics capacity. It consists in the provision of logistics services by natural or legal persons who do not work in the logistics industry professionally. It has the potential to complete logistics activities in less time and with greater flexibility than traditional logistics. At the same time, it provides measurable benefits to customers and providers of logistics services, retailers in various sectors, and platforms that facilitate the provision of services. Professional organizations can also gain a competitive advantage by incorporating crowd logistics elements into their processes. The purpose of this paper is to present conceptual framework for the crowd logistics and to establish foundations for further research. To accomplish this, conceptual implications were developed on the basis of existing studies, and prospective pathways for further investigation were proposed.
