Summary/Abstract: The article presents the chronology of ethnographer Ion Chelcea's life, based on a selective bio-bibliography regarding some milestones in his family history to include assertions, data and documents following the consultation of books, periodicals, catalogs, reference works, albums, other documents, as well as critical assessments, selected from the works of those who made special contributions to the knowledge and understanding of the man Ion Chelcea.The article weight is given by the work, edited by his own son, the PhD prof. Septimiu Chelcea and suggestively titled, "My father's personnel file" which captures those sensitive aspects as already established chronologically. A Shakespearean drama. A story of resentment. Tormenting.
