Summary/Abstract: This article addresses a very topical topic, with climate change having a huge impact on the economy, health and safety, food production and security. By 2050, climate change is a priority objective so that Europe is considered neutral in terms of greenhouse gas emissions. Thus, it becomes a necessity to intensify research in clarifying the main key concepts in and the scope of climate finance, to improve its usefulness, in order to solve some problems related to greenhouse gas emissions. To achieve the acceleration of the transition to a zero-carbon economy, a variety of policy instruments are needed that, together with the progressive increase in carbon prices, will facilitate the removal of fossil fuel subsidies. In this way, a more ambitious and effective climate policy can be implemented.
