Summary/Abstract: The archpriests who led the destinies of the Caransebeș District had a significant contribution to the progress of the church life in Banat, with small exceptions targeting the archpriests of Serbian origin, all being supporters of the Romanian language and culture, organizers of the parishes in the old traditional forms of the place, founders of places of worship and fighters for the church autonomy of the Romanians.
