KARTOGRAFSKI IZVORI ZA REKONSTRUKCIJU I PRAĆENJE RAZVOJA PROMETNIH KOMUNIKACIJA
CARTOGRAPHIC SOURCES IN THE RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF TRAFFIC COMUNICATIONS

Summary/Abstract: Based on the research of authentic archival materials, the author has identified and integrated all relevant cartographic sources in the reconstruction and development of traffic communications on the territory of Croatian countries for the very first time. Those cartographic sources are significant not only as historical documents of traffic and economic development, but they also play an important role in the reconstruction of no longer existing historical traffic communications. Expertise in development of traffic communications as one of the predominant factors of development and regional organisation, are very important in the researching and understanding the history of the Croatian countries. Regarding the originality of the facts they present, all the mentioned cartographic sources have been evaluated as a source of Croatian history.
