COMMEMORATION OF THE HOLY MOTHER THEOPHANA BASARAB

Summary/Abstract: Through her Orthodox Christian activity, she contributed to combating some heresies of her time, such as: Bogomilism and Adamism, harmful to the Orthodox faith. He protected and defended the hesychast current present in the monasteries of Mount Athos, the Cutlumuș Monastery and its surroundings. Holy Pious Mother Teofana Basarab can be called to prayer, being protector and supplicant for those in captivity, for those who are far from the country, for women who have been wronged and driven away by their husbands. She can also be called to prayer for the eternal rest of those who have departed from us.
