Summary/Abstract: The main objective of the article is to identify the diverse socio-economic situations of newtowns based on the subjective opinions of residents and attempt to determine the factors that explainthe relationships in this particular scope. The spatial framework of the study includes 62 centers thatobtained city status between 2009 and 2021. To achieve the main goal of the study, the research pro-cedure consisted of the following stages: 1) general characteristics of the set of new towns, 2) pres-entation of survey results regarding the socio-economic situation of new towns, 3) identification anddetermination of factors explaining the relationships in the collected data, 4) comparison of selectedregions based on the socio-economic situation of new towns.
