Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to showcase the cognitive potential inherent in visual tools for presenting numerical data, facts, or processes, as well as in constructing messages based on them. It delves into the possibilities of infographics, a field within visual communication design, to actively engage in cognitive processes encompassing general knowledge, while also providing insights into one’s intricate emotional world. Approaching the subject from the perspective of a practitioner in the field enables a better understanding of how visual tools facilitate the design of cognitive experiences. The article encompasses fundamental information about the essence of visual communication, its historical context, and the principles it adheres to. The second part is dedicated to presenting selected artistic and design accomplishments that exemplify the thesis put forth in the article’s title.
