Summary/Abstract: In the 50s and 60s of the last century, in order to increase agricultural production, fertilizers are widely applied and in order to protect the agrocenosis of pests pesticides are used. In the area of livestock widespread use of food additives, hormones, growth regulators and others began. These changes have a negative impact not only on the qualities of the plant and livestock production but also along the food chain and over human health. Organic farming emerged as an alternative to the high use of chemicals and industrialization of agricultural production. Essentially it is a production system that avoids or excludes the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, growth regulators and additives to animal food. To maintain and improve the diet of the soil we rely on biological approaches, such as crop rotations, use of crop residues, manure, green manure and biological plant protection
