Summary/Abstract: In parallel with the intense collaboration in interwar Romanian newspapers and magazines, Mircea Eliade founded and managed the "Zalmoxis" publication in 1938.The three fascicles of the magazine were included in a unique volume published by the Polirom publishing house, from Iasi, thanks to Eugen Ciurtin. The articles published in the pages of this magazine have dealt with various issues of history, archeology, folklore, philosophy, mythology, oriental studies, religion, literary history, ethnography etc.For the appearance of this magazine, Mircea Eliade was congratulated by some of the important personalities of world culture, among which we mention Raffalle Pettazzoni, Benjamin Rowland Jr., Ernesto Buonaiuti, Gerard van der Leeuw, etc.Scientific circles and groups around the world have been enthusiastic about the new magazine, which is widespread and dispersed thanks to the publishing house „Paul Geuthner” in Paris.
