Summary/Abstract: The principles of organization and operation of military medical support are part of the general principle of military organization and conform to the need to protect the health of the military and to maintain and restore combat capability, as filtered through historical military experience and the personal experience of the authors. The present synthesis by the authors of the article is not a summary of military regulations currently in force, nor does it contradict them, but presents fundamental principles on which any military organization or reorganization is based, and is valid for the past, present, and future.
