Summary/Abstract: The energy component of European policies is at a moment of balance, where it intersects: the strategies to achieve the objective of a green economy towards the year 2050, the solidarity of democratic countries towards the war in Ukraine and overcoming the energy crisis triggered by the increase in energy prices through strangulation of global supply chains. Successive waves of gas cuts have produced many reverberating shocks to economies through exploding energy prices. Gas prices suddenly rose by as much as 1000%(wholesale) in most European countries from January to early September, and by800% in Romania, which caused industrial production in Romania to continue its downward trend from 2019, decreasing by 2% in the first 8 months of 2022, compared to the same period in 2021. Energy costs boosted industrial inflation:Romania registering the second highest annual industrial inflation rate in the EU,at 70.9% , after that of Ireland, of 97.4%. In this critical decision-making complex,Romania is among the countries that support renewable energy such as wind turbines and photovoltaic parks, with exceptional results in the Dobrogea area. The obvious results observed in the last 10-15 years of renewable energy development and the investment prospects planned for the next ten years transform Romania into a performance center for the south-eastern part of Europe.
