Summary/Abstract: The author provides well-documented details, thus completing the history of the Todireni Monastery near Suceava. Hence, the study corrects much fake news circulating on social media. The information provided by the author (following a strenuous effort of consulting medieval manuscripts) does more than complete the history of a religious building. It goes much further because it reconstructs the biography of the founder, Toader Movilă, and the political context in which he struggled to obtain certain positions in the political hierarchy of the time.
