Summary/Abstract: In the classic constitutional law, parliament is a representative body exercising legislative power on behalf of and on the account of the collective subject of supreme law, the nation. This premise has evolved over the past two hundred years, and with it the parliament’s constitutional position. New phenomena, trends and processes force appropriate changes and adaptation of parliament to new circumstances. Special attention is paid to the so-called integrity framework, by which are meant solutions that emphasize the need to ensure greater openness of the parliament, its inclusiveness in relation to various civil society actors, work ethic and mechanisms of political participation.
