Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes Mariusz Szczygieł’s posts on Instagram in relation to the characteristics of rhetorical discourse. Among other things, the triad of rhetorical evidence of persuasion, i.e. ethos, logos, pathos, is used. It characterizes the way of keeping the account with the changing environment of writers/journalists. The role of imagery in shaping an effective message and argument transmission is described. The analysis shows that the instadziennik expresses Szczygieł’s curiosity about the world. It is also a way to sort out his own dilemmas. Interaction with readers, promotion of numerous initiatives and projects related to his profession, and the opportunity to share passions and thoughts on various spheres of life create its image, based on the persuasiveness of the message.
