Summary/Abstract: Starting from the analysis of the legal framework applicable to cultural heritage sites, the article recalls the different regulations entering into force when setting a representation of performing arts within the premises of a listed cultural heritage site. In order to illustrate the many implications of such a cultural project, a case study is referenced – the approach taken by contemporary Greece in its efforts to integrate a remarkable ancient heritage as part of the country’s contemporary and future profile.
